Water Bottles and You
As I was cleaning my water bottle today, I did not like what I saw. (Surprised and sad face)
I have been sharing a lot about the importance of staying hydrated.
Yes, water is very important to us! We are truly grateful that Logos’s day guards are vigilant to keep water dispensers filled on every floor in the building.
There is no lack of water. So, we only need to remind the students of a clean water bottle. Dirty water bottles can cause diarrhea and/or vomiting.
In one report it reads, “According to a study from waterfilterguru.com, reusable water bottles contain an average of 20.8m colony-forming units (CFUs) of bacteria, which equates to 40,000 times more than the microbes on a toilet seat.”
Yuck! We need to watch out for what we put into our mouths. As it is convenient and considerate to the environment to have reusable water bottles, please remind our students, or maybe even ourselves, to clean water bottles well at least once daily with soap and sanitize them with hot water at least once weekly.
Think of it this way: the closest thing to a person each day is the water bottle. So, do keep it clean.
